The Velvette Rose

The Velvette Rose by Mousumi De on Visioplanet

Photoblog Awards

As you have probably noticed (from the author name above 😉 ), I’m Mousumi, and this is my first post here.My interest in photography started at about the same time as Sudipto (we were in the same Section in school and shared the same bench in photography class 😀 ).After what felt like an eternity,I found the inspiration to start clicking again when Sudipto presented me with a digital camera and asked me to be a part of this beautiful blog he had.None of the pictures I took with the digicam was good enough for this blog, especially given the standards my pal sets.So I thought of starting this journey with a much older picture..

This is a rose from my balcony. Also called dark or black rose 4 its dark velvetty undertones.Took this with my Nokia 6700 slide phone camera.

It represents beauty with a depth….of thought & feelings…Hidden in the darkness that it holds inside.
