For you can contain many things, but hope will always break through…

It was cloudy here since the day I got here. I did click the sun streaks breaking through the clouds in the west before sunset once before, but I figured an HDR would be way better. Today I did just that. But the darn clouds were moving too fast. I didn’t consider the fact that it might be windy. You can’t really freeze the clouds without a camera with a fast built in exposure bracketing mechanism (and development for CHDK for my camera isn’t complete yet). Unfortunately, that led me nowhere and I decided to do a Faux HDR with the photo that had the lowest exposure. Turns out, the streaks looked better in that one.

The EXIF info you see here is that of the single original I started with.

EXIF Info
Exposure f/7.9 1/2000 sec
ISO 100
Date taken 2013:10:14 15:34:08

  1. What a fabulous image! I love the way you've captured the sunrays and including the silhouettes of the buildings into your composition enhances the atmosphere beautifully. Many compliments!
