I did click the sun streaks breaking through the clouds in the west before sunset once before, but I figured an HDR would be way better. Today I did just that. But the darn clouds were moving too fast. I didn’t consider the fact that it might be windy. You can’t really freeze the clouds without a camera with a fast built in exposure bracketing mechanism (and development for CHDK for my camera isn’t complete yet). Unfortunately, that led me nowhere and I decided to do a Faux HDR with the photo that had the lowest exposure. Turns out, the streaks looked better in that one. The EXIF info you see here is that of the single original I started with.
