Primula Vulgaris This is another picture from the flower garden in Ramoji Film City (from back when they did allow tele lenses)… This one being a Primula Vulgaris. Why the epithet is vulgaris is beyond me though. I tried a lot to find what species these flowers are from, but after a lot of describing it, I remembered Google had a reverse image search. That got me the answer away pretty quickly. It’s a Primrose (the first time I’d heard of a Primrose was in the Hunger Games). I believe this particular flower is from the subspecies sibthorpii, which is found in South-east Asia. This is part of my Ramoji Film City series.
