Brahminy Kite – Haliastur indus This is a Brahminy kite (Haliastur indus), I spotted in its home, during the boat ride in the backwaters in Palolem. For a long time, I thought it was a sea eagle. I suppose those are bigger. We fed them some chicken too! They were circling above the boat and diving in the water to get their share. This backwater meets the sea from a river. A paradise for many different kinds of birds in the middle of civilization.
